(You'll find a much better post over at my Japan blog, but since I'm slightly ashamed of my fangirl!woah moment yesterday, I thought I'd rather post this piece of it here XD)

So, yesterday I went down to Minami-Hikone with two other girls to shop for video games (specifically, a kanji dictionary for DS) and books/manga. I found Kanji Sono Mama, and since that's what I know, I bought it. That wasn't all I bought however.

OMG, it's Tales of Destiny for PS2. If I had a Japanese PS2, I would've totally bought it. (Tales of Destiny is the old game I picked up for Playstation this summer; this is is the remake.)

Book-Off: The place where all your manga-otaku dreams come true. I wish I could've taken a picture inside. There was SO. MUCH. MANGA. And most of it was only 105 yen.

And yes, my friends, they had Please Save My Earth, aka, my favorite manga series ever.

OHEEMGEE!!!1 THEY HAD THE BUNKO EDITIONS. I AM IN HEAVEN.

My purchases for the day. I've only bought two of the ten PSME bunko so far (yes, 1 and 10, since I know I want the beginning and the end for sure) because they're big, heavy, and I have no freakin' idea how I'm going to get ten of them home T_T (Yet I still plan on going back for the rest. ...) I also picked up volume 1 of the recent sequel to PSME (the little book on the middle-left), as well as volume 1 of what I *think* is a 4 volume series by the same author (the little book on the middle-right). Seriously, this store means I'm in trouble.

Also. I saw Tales of the Tempest for 980 yen. I should've snapped it up, but after spending all that (well, PSME was 550 a piece, so my book purchase was small, but Kanji Sono Mama was on the expensive side), I was uncertain. So, Aya, Omi, is it worth it? (If it's still there; another place had a 1480 yen copy, though, so ...)

I think that's enough fangirling for today. Seriously, I froze when I saw PSME on the shelves, because I honestly didn't expect them to have it at all, much less both regular and bunko editions (though they didn't have all 21 of the regular volumes, hence my reasoning for picking up the bunkos). I was overjoyed. But anyway. Head on over to my Japan LJ for some Ikebana/kimono picspam (assuming I have it up by the time you read this. ...)

I feel I'm not qualified to tell you if it is worth it or not, but it seems good and I like it, so for 980 yen, if you wanna try it out, I'd say go for it. That's a really good price. (I love that store. So much.)

I'm so glad you found something you wanted. That's awesome!

It suffers from a bad fighting system (changing lanes and so on and heaving to deal with dumb AI), but the characters are adorable. (I have figured out a way around the lane thing. You can tap a monster to select him as a target, so if you select a target from a far lane, or one with an AI in the way, Caius will move around him)

Sometimes it might be a little hard to find your way around, but Aya DOES know a site where someone translated the speeches into English.

But I think if you're ever going to pick it up, you should probably do it now. There's hardly a chance of it coming to the US, especially since Tales kicked it out of the franchise, and I haven't seen it any cheaper than $17.50, although I have heard of people getting it for cheaper, apparently...

Waah, it sounds fun. I will really miss living with you next semester! I'm sure you'll conquer Japan, no problem. Don't spend too much okane ne (haha that sounds weird)!
