As requested, some pics to go along with my last entry~
If I lose you somewhere )
I'm going to copy [livejournal.com profile] yaminokaitou and start off with just pictures/descriptions of what I bought. Partly because I enjoy crowing over it, and partly because there are far, far fewer pictures of what I bought than of everything else, heh.
I still managed to ramble quite a bit ... )
I'm finding it difficult recently to talk about ... difficult things on here, but hey, there's always room for frivolous stuff! So on that note, picspam time!

Guess what came today? )

Merry Christmas, everyone~! ^_^

Last night we opened "gifts" (which consisted of random new tools -- insulated screwdrivers, tape measures, etc., haha -- wrapped up so there was something to open, and a mini scavenger hunt for money for my brother and me). Today we're going over to my uncle's for Christmas dinner (which my mom is making most of, poor woman) for my mom's side of the family (though it'll only be us, my uncle and two cousins, and my granpa), and tomorrow we're going to my cousin's house for the Christmas gathering with my dad's side of the family (which will mostly involve watching my gramma and my cousin's kids open presents because the rest of us are too old XD).

But with people talking about "Christmas hauls," even though it's by far the least significant part of Christmas, I felt like posting pictures of all the crap lovely anime series I bought from pre-Christmas sales for myself. Spending Christmas money before I even had it, LIKE A BOSS~

Chillin' on my new laptop~
On to the goodies )
I thought of doing my own artwork (from high school because I'm not creative anymore XD), but now it's late and I'm lazy and I have pictures of others' pretty art already on my computer and ready to go.
Day 17 - An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.) )
We didn't have a digital camera until 2002, so my options were either to scan in an old pic ... or use one that some family friends posted on facebook. Naturally, I chose the latter.
Day 10 - A photo of you taken over 10 years ago )
I have taken many photos that I like -- most of them more for the photo's content (friends that are dear to me, an amazing place I visited, a particularly delicious and beautiful thing I ate) than the aesthetics of the photograph itself. I can't really be an objective judge of my own photography (I'm an amateur and have no idea what to look for), so I have no idea which pictures of mine are best from that standpoint. I only know what I like best.
Day 9 - A photo you took )
OK, there are a lot of pictures out there that make me angry/sad, but most of them ... I would rather not put up here or talk about because of said feelings. So, I'm going for something a little ... lighter.
Day 8 - A photo that makes you angry/sad )
I was going to post a run-of-the-mill cute kitty picture, but then I remembered this gem.
Day 7 - A photo that makes you happy )
I'm trying to find a way to share pictures that is not so tedious as the photobucket way (that is, where I slowly upload all the pics to photobucket, then laboriously copypasta all the links here and write about them -- it looks fine that way, but it takes *forever* which is why I've been loath to share the pics from my UK trip and the others I've taken the last nine months).

So. Since I have a yahoo account already, I signed up for flickr, and have a slideshow of my new bookshelves. Let me know what you think of this way -- I'm not sure I like the presentation as much as the photobucket way (you have to click "show info" to see my comments on the stuff, so please do that!), but it certainly seems easier. Of course, I only had like, 9 photos this time as opposed to the hundreds I dealt with during my Japan semester ...

Slideshow HERE!

Anyway, enjoy!

In other news, I've been re-watching His and Her Circumstances. It's the anime made of my favorite high school genre shoujo manga (Kare Kano -- as opposed to Please Save My Earth, which I consider my favorite shoujo manga and my favorite manga period), and I forgot how much I love the first 3/4 of the show -- in the last part, the production staff seemed to have thrown up their hands and given up, as there are a bunch of recaps, a filler episode right before the end, ridiculous animation techniques (well, that's the rest of the show too -- can we even call this animation when we're just staring at stills basically pulled right from the manga?), and well, the story stops in a pretty bad spot with no real attempt made for closure. But like I said, before that, the series is a pretty good adaptation of the first few volumes of the excellent manga, with a little bit more "crazy" thrown in, perhaps, thanks to the wacky animation decisions (let's make them look like crayon drawings done by an 8 year old!). Yup. I also forgot that Akira Ishida voices Kazuma! No wonder I love that kid (not to mention that he's a sweetheart in a rock back. And I love pretty much all the characters ...).

I could've done more this weekend than I did.

(What I did was some homework, some anime watching, and a very tiny bit of Star Ocean TET playing.)

But, I did manage to (finally) scan the first fanart I've done like, ever.
Code Geass pencil sketch, safe for work, spoiler free )
So, it's done. It only took about 15 minutes in all ... the stylist wet my hair down, remarked on how thick it was, took measurements, looked at my hairstyle pictures, then just snipped away.

I was so very nervous, but I'm glad I did it. This is the lightest my head's felt in ... maybe ever. My last Locks of Love donation left me with shorter but still very thick hair. This time, my hair is about the same length as last time, but lightened by layers.

... I hope some kid will be enjoying my former hair in a wig soon ^_^ But without further ado, pictures!
Fuwa-fuwa~ )
Today was my last day of work for the summer. I was really excited beforehand -- couldn't wait to get it over with -- but now it seems all that's left is the scary reality that my last year of school is approaching with ridiculous rapidity. In one more week I will be settled into my school apartment, readying myself for classes. ...

(Also, there's still the feeling that I have to go back to work, because I may very well put in a few hours over my Christmas break.)

But more imminent is my haircut of DOOM. So, picspam! (Of other people.)
This could be the last time )
So, what's been going on in my life?
Apparently, not much? )

Finally uploaded some pics from my digicam ^_^
NANI, MAI HANI? )
So, yes, I broke down and bought a PSP yesterday in Den Den Town. It is a shimmery mint green and I loves it ♥
Cut for picspam )
... I thought I would be posting here more often, but to be honest, just posting at my Japan blog as much as I do takes up a huge chunk of time (... you don't even want to know how long each entry takes to write/arrange/insert pictures; I'm sure I'll be thankful of it in the future though). This entry will just be merch, however, so I don't plan on spending long on it. In case I somehow lose my luggage or what not, I want to prove that yes, this is the stuff that I did indeed have.
Code Geass, GothLoli, manga, etc. )

(You'll find a much better post over at my Japan blog, but since I'm slightly ashamed of my fangirl!woah moment yesterday, I thought I'd rather post this piece of it here XD)

So, yesterday I went down to Minami-Hikone with two other girls to shop for video games (specifically, a kanji dictionary for DS) and books/manga. I found Kanji Sono Mama, and since that's what I know, I bought it. That wasn't all I bought however.

Never mind what I said about the previous two pictures. Zora's even cuter in this slideshow my mom sent me (which I have attempted and I hope succeeded in making accessible for you).
